Outdoor Recreation / Disc Golf
The Newbold Outdoor Recreation Area (NORA) and Rookery Run Disc Golf Course is located at 6954 Ole Lake Road.
Take Highway 47 North from Rhinelander approximately 8 miles to Ole Lake Road (across from Backwaters Bar and Grill).
Turn left onto Ole Lake Road. Drive to the park on the right.
Bathroom facilities available, NO drinking water available
Rookery Run Disc Golf Course
Rookery Run Disc Golf Course is built on a landfill closed 40+ years ago. The fairways are wide, two concrete pads at each hole and clear course markings. Opens 1/2 hr before sunrise and closes 1/2 hr after sunset. Course depends on donations.
